The new AirPods Pro will be released on September 22 2023.

But it seems good to understand that not only the case will be changed to USB-C, but the hardware of the earphones part of the AirPods Pro will also be an updated version.

However, the product name “AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe charging case (USB-C)”. We can see the different in charging case part of the product name.

The difference in the current release said:

  • Charging case changed from Lightning connector to USB connector.
  • In combination with Apple Vision Pro, 20-bit/48kHz lossless audio can be played.

There are only two points.

Adaptive audio, conversation recognition, and personalized volume enabled by iOS 17 are also available on AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe charging case (I mean, Lightning case).

Does this mean that hardware that can perform lossless playback on AirPods Pro 2 (updated) will not be released until Vision Pro, or is there a possibility that existing products such as Macs can also output?

Some say it’s not Bluetooth. yeah? If it’s not Bluetooth, what will happen to authentication? (mystery)
